Three of our our brilliant McNair DLA artists will be recognized at this year’s DeKalb County School District ART STAR award ceremony on March 15, 2016. This is a great opportunity as each student chosen displayed all or some of the qualities. Elementary, Middle, and High School students are participating in this county-wide event.
The ART STARS have been nominated by their teachers based on the following 5 STAR qualities:
STAR ONE: 1. Final grade of 90 or better in nominating teachers’ class
STAR TWO: 2. Mastery of skill/technique observed by teacher
STAR THREE: 3. Community involvement in the Arts (beyond school)
STAR FOUR: 4. Demonstration of leadership/mentoring skills by nominating teacher
STAR FIVE: 5. Dedication/passion for craft observed by nominating teacher
